The legal situation
Consumption of cannabis in private spaces has been decriminalized: consuming and possessing small quantities for personal use in private is exempt from punishment, and growing cannabis for personal use is permitted as long as it stays private and is not publicly visible. Public consumption, possession of larger quantities, and any sale or distribution remain illegal.
